Urbanitae Academy, our real estate investment education platform, has been recognized by Actualidad Económica, El Mundo’s business magazine, as one of the 100 best ideas of 2026.
The recognition comes as part of the publication’s annual special edition, which highlights initiatives distinguished by their innovation, impact, and value creation across different industries. In the case of Urbanitae Academy, Actualidad Económica emphasized its contribution to the dissemination of real estate knowledge, by providing citizens with access to free and accessible educational content on real estate investment.
For Urbanitae, this recognition validates an idea that has been part of our approach to investing from day one: investing better starts with understanding better.
Free education to invest more wisely
Urbanitae Academy was created with a clear goal: to help anyone interested in real estate investment build a solid, practical knowledge base adapted to their level of experience.
Real estate investment has historically been one of the main vehicles for wealth creation. However, it has not always been easy to access or understand its dynamics: asset types, investment models, return metrics, risks, taxation, financing, timelines, guarantees, or distribution structures.
With Academy, we aim to reduce that barrier to entry. That is why the platform offers free online content designed for self-paced learning, whether you are just beginning your investment journey or you have already invested and want to deepen your understanding of more advanced concepts.
Today, Urbanitae Academy already has more than 4,800 active users, a figure that reflects the growing interest in financial education and in approaching the real estate sector in a more informed way.
What can you learn at Urbanitae Academy?
Since its launch, Academy has progressively added new content to support investors at different stages of their learning journey.
The first modules focus on investment fundamentals: how to define objectives, understand the relationship between return and risk, why diversification matters, and what role real estate can play within a portfolio.
From there, the platform explores real estate investment in greater depth and the different ways to participate in the sector: from direct property purchases to real estate co-investment, including debt, equity, and income-generating projects. It also explains how Urbanitae works, how the opportunities published on the platform are analyzed, and what information investors should review before making a decision.
In recent months, Academy has taken a further step with advanced content on project analysis, real estate diversification, and investment monitoring. These modules help users better understand metrics such as LTV or LTC, interpret guarantees, analyze debt and equity transactions, assess the role of the developer, review construction and commercialization milestones, or build a real estate portfolio with greater criteria.
The goal is not to turn users into real estate professionals, but to provide them with tools to make more informed decisions, better understand projects, and evaluate risk with greater context.
The next step: Direct Investments
Urbanitae Academy continues to grow. The next module currently under development will focus on Urbanitae Direct Investments, our direct residential investment line.
This new module will explain what differentiates direct investment from real estate co-investment, which factors should be considered when analyzing a property as an investment, how location, purchase price, rental yield, financing, associated costs, or exit strategy influence returns, and what value Urbanitae provides throughout the process.
Direct Investments responds to an increasingly common need among investors: access to curated real estate opportunities with expert support and professional management, while maintaining direct ownership of the asset. Academy will allow us to explain this model using the same approach applied throughout our content: clarity, educational value, and practical guidance.
Financial education as part of our value proposition
The recognition from Actualidad Económica comes at a time when financial education is more necessary than ever. Investing has become more democratized, access to new products is increasingly simple, and retail investors now have alternatives available that only a few years ago were reserved for professional investors or high-net-worth individuals.
But greater access also requires greater knowledge. That is why, at Urbanitae, we believe transparency is not only about publishing information on each project, but also about helping investors interpret it.
Academy is part of that commitment. Just like our webinars, articles, project updates, and educational materials, the platform aims to help users understand what they are doing, what risks they are taking, what returns they can expect, and how each investment fits into a broader strategy.
Being recognized as one of the best ideas of 2026 encourages us to continue developing this path. Because a better-informed investor community is also a stronger, more demanding, and better-prepared community to take advantage of opportunities in the real estate market with a grounded perspective.
