Urbanitae Academy, our real estate investment training platform, has been recognised at the 2026 Asprima-SIMA Awards as the best business initiative in training.
The award represents further recognition for one of Urbanitae’s strategic projects: bringing real estate investment closer to more people not only through investment opportunities, but also through clear, practical and accessible educational content.
The Asprima-SIMA Awards, organised by Asprima and Planner Exhibitions as part of SIMA, are considered one of the benchmark recognitions within the Spanish real estate sector. In their 23rd edition, they brought together 124 applications and recognised the sector’s best initiatives in areas such as housing, urban regeneration, ESG, innovation, startups, flex living and training.
Recognition for real estate education
Urbanitae Academy was created with a very specific goal: helping anyone interested in real estate investment better understand the sector, its opportunities and its risks.
Investing in real estate requires judgement and knowledge. It involves understanding concepts such as profitability, timelines, diversification, taxation, risk, guarantees, financing, asset classes and investment structures. And although real estate has historically been one of the main vehicles for wealth creation, access to clear and practical training on how it really works has not always been easy.
Academy was designed precisely to address that need. It is a free online educational platform built to allow users to learn step by step, whether they are just starting out or have already invested and want to deepen their understanding of more advanced concepts.
Today, more than 4,800 active users are learning about real estate investment through Urbanitae Academy. For us, that figure reflects the growing interest in investing with more information, more context and stronger analytical skills.
Learning to invest with better judgement
Urbanitae Academy offers content structured into modules and interactive lessons, with a practical approach adapted to each user’s level. The platform allows users to personalise their learning journey and progress at their own pace.
The introductory course covers the fundamentals of investing, risk management, real estate investment, how Urbanitae works and the basics of taxation and regulation. From there, the advanced course explores real estate project analysis, diversification strategies and how to monitor investments after funding.
The goal is not to turn users into real estate professionals, but to provide them with tools to make better decisions. Academy helps users understand how opportunities are analysed, what information should be reviewed before investing, how to compare debt and equity projects, which metrics matter most and how to interpret the key risks involved in a transaction.
Ultimately, the aim is to help build better informed, more demanding investors who are more capable of assessing each project within a broader investment strategy.
Transparency also means education
Since Urbanitae’s launch, transparency has been an essential part of our value proposition. But being transparent does not simply mean publishing information about each project. It also means helping investors understand that information.
That is why Academy complements the other content already included within our investor communication ecosystem: project webinars, periodic updates, educational articles, guides, investment documentation and explanatory materials.
In recent years, real estate investment has become accessible to new types of investors. More and more people can now access opportunities that were previously reserved for large private fortunes or professional investors. But greater access must also come with greater education. The better investors understand both the basic and advanced concepts of investing, the better questions they can ask and the stronger their decision-making criteria become.
That is the purpose of Urbanitae Academy: helping make real estate investment more accessible, but also more understandable.
A second recognition in just a few days
The Asprima-SIMA Award comes just days after another important recognition for Academy. The business magazine Actualidad Económica, published by El Mundo, recently included Urbanitae Academy among the 100 Best Ideas of 2026, highlighting its contribution to real estate education and its role as a free and accessible educational resource for retail investors.
Both recognitions reinforce the same idea: financial and real estate education are becoming increasingly important within the development of the sector.
At a time when the residential market is undergoing profound transformation — with new investment models, greater financial sophistication, more alternatives for retail investors and a growing need for transparency — education is becoming a key element in building stronger relationships between platforms, developers and investors.
A growing project
Urbanitae Academy will continue evolving over the coming months. Following the introductory and advanced content already available, the next module will focus on Urbanitae Direct Investments, our direct residential investment business line.
This new content will explain the differences between real estate co-investment and direct property acquisition, the factors investors should analyse before purchasing a property as an investment, the role of location, rental profitability, financing, associated costs, professional management and exit strategy.
With this, Academy will continue expanding its scope to cover the different ways of investing in real estate, both within and beyond Urbanitae.
Continuing to learn in order to invest better
Receiving the Asprima-SIMA Award for best business initiative in training is a source of pride for the entire Urbanitae team. But above all, it is motivation to continue developing content that helps investors make decisions with better judgement.
We believe that a better educated investor community is also a stronger community. And we believe that the growth of the real estate sector — especially during a period of transformation like the current one — must be built on three pillars: transparency, professionalism and knowledge.
Urbanitae Academy was created to contribute to that goal. This recognition encourages us to continue moving forward.
