At Urbanitae, we are pleased to announce that we will be attending SIMA 2024 once again, with some significant new developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>From May 22 to 25, SIMA 2024 will be held at Ifema<\/strong>, marking the 25th edition of the premier real estate event in the Spanish market. As in previous years, SIMA also includes the Real Estate Investor Show \u2013 aimed at savers and small investors; SIMAPRO \u2013 focused on professionals; and the European Proptech Expo, which highlights real estate technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/urbanitae.com\/en\/?utm_source=blog_en&amp;utm_medium=organic&amp;utm_campaign=urbanitae_blog_0524&amp;utm_term=urbanitae&amp;utm_content=en_urbanitae_sima_2024\">Urbanitae<\/a> will be participating in several ways. The first, which is new this year, is that we will have <strong>the largest stand at the entire fair<\/strong>, accompanied by the most prominent real estate <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanitae.com\/en\/developers?utm_source=blog_en&amp;utm_medium=organic&amp;utm_campaign=urbanitae_blog_0524&amp;utm_term=developers&amp;utm_content=en_urbanitae_sima_2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">developers<\/a> in Spain. The idea, as always, is to bring real estate investment closer to small and medium savers. Additionally, we aim to introduce our financing proposal to developers who are not yet familiar with us, surrounded by those who have already worked with us. <strong>You can find us at stand B2-04<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Four presentations for investors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In this edition, we are also partners of SIMAPRO, so you will find us throughout the event. As last year, our CEO will participate in several debates and presentations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On Thursday, May 23, at 11:15 am, Diego Bestard will participate in a debate about <strong>the role of technology<\/strong> as seen by the main players in the sector, at the European Proptech Forum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the same day, at 1:00 pm, Diego Bestard will discuss real estate investment and, specifically, the <strong>alternatives offered by crowd platforms<\/strong> within the Small Investor and Owner Forum. You can see him at the Urbanitae Auditorium in the Real Estate Investor Show. On Saturday, May 25, at the same time, our HNWI Director, <strong>Pepe G\u00f3mez-Acebo<\/strong>, will be giving this conference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lastly, our CEO will discuss <strong>the capacity of the Spanish financial system<\/strong> and the role of alternative financing on Thursday at 4:45 pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Real estate investment in Spain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first quarter of 2024 closed with a decrease in <a href=\"https:\/\/mkt.urbanitae.com\/real_estate_investing_en.html?utm_source=blog_en&amp;utm_medium=organic&amp;utm_campaign=urbanitae_blog_0524&amp;utm_term=real+estate+investment&amp;utm_content=en_urbanitae_sima_2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">real estate investment<\/a> volume in Spain. <strong>The figure stands around \u20ac2.1-2.2 billion<\/strong>, which is between 14% and 30% below the same period last year \u2013 according to BNP Paribas Real Estate and CBRE, respectively. The high-interest rate environment continues to favor investors who do not need financing, such as family offices, which remain the most active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the trend is expected to improve in the second half of the year thanks to a moderation in <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.urbanitae.com\/en\/2024\/01\/26\/how-do-interest-rates-affect-your-investments\/?utm_source=blog_en&amp;utm_medium=organic&amp;utm_campaign=urbanitae_blog_0524&amp;utm_term=interest+rates&amp;utm_content=en_urbanitae_sima_2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">interest rates<\/a> starting in June. At Urbanitae, things look very different: in the first half of the year, we financed nearly \u20ac27 million in real estate projects, 12% more than in the same period in 2023. As of the end of April, we surpassed \u20ac45 million, representing an annual increase of 30%.
